Biography:

My name is Michael and I am a webdesigner and marketing manager at Alphaweb in Aalborg, Denmark.
I mainly work the optimizing webshops for better user experience, speed and security enhancements. Also a little bit with the webdesign itself and setting up webshops for our customers. Most of our webshop solutions are based on the WooCommerce system which can take your WordPress site to a whole new level.
I love working with webdesign - especially webshops as it's very easy to use google analytics to see how you can boost a webshops performance with some optimizations. Tracking sales and monitoring conversions rate are always fun. In fact this is most likely my favorite part when building a new webshop or optimizing an existing website or webshop. I enjoy working here at Alphaweb, and I enjoy working with HTML, CSS, PHP and all the other small tools we use in the webdesign business.
I have been working with online marketing and webdesign for about 15 years now, so I have tried tons of different systems, but must admit that right now WordPress and Woocommerce are my favorite systems to work with. I enjoy the freedom you have with this system and how easy it is to modify compared to other shopping systems like Shopify, Magento or Prestashop. WooCommerce is by far more enjoyable to work with in my opinion. Not that the other systems are bad systems, and I have worked a lot with with these systems too, it's just that Woocommerce are so much better (from a developers perspective).
Right now I am trying out the Shopware system and it looks pretty neat so far, but far from as simple to modify and use as WooCommerce is. I think it will take quite some time before we find something easier than this. Well I once said the same about CMS Made Simple, and nobody is using that system anymore.
