Biography:

I am a submarine force retired disabled veteran traditional artist who started trying the digital art craze some years ago. A Wikipedia librarian, I blog on WordPress, owner of Hawk Image Nation Design Studios at hawkimagenation.com, member of VFW Post 3160 and the National Technical Honor Society. I love to create heraldic designs for family crests helping folks to preserve their heritage for future generations. I have also created Artwork by Veterans which is a support group for returning hero’s to express themselves through art operating out of my local VA facility with access to art therapists. By using the camaraderie of military service and the healing power of art we are a community of social networks, art groups and web site’s where vets can showcase their art work, meet other vets with the same interests and heal from the wounds of war by supporting each other through art. Artwork by Veterans inspires greater understanding of the real impact of war with a focus on the healing aspect Art provides.
I ran an inventory management system for the U.S. Navy Submarine force based on DOS, went to school in the 90s at Temple University in Philadelphia and became a chef; I have been an avid computer user since the Commodore 64 in the early 80’s. I currently have 12 pc’s in front of me and 5 others networked throughout the house. In the process of building 5 others. They range from Linux, Chromium, XP Pro, Vista, different versions of 7, 8 32 and 64 to this one. I built it one 1 year after my last build in order to adequately run 3DS Max for animation. It is an Asus M5Pro MB with bridged GPU’s, water cooled, 8 cores, 16 GB, 11 TB, and Intel SSD running Windows 8.1 currently. I use the different OS’s to test my websites functionality. I have 4 kids and a wife of 18 years.
