Can VR be used in a website?

    Hi all,

I'm wondering if Virtual Reality could be incorporated into a website?, or would it use just too many resources?

I have a shopping site (onlineshoppingmall) and really need to change the layout as it just isn't performing at all, what i would like to do is make it a VR mall, where you can walk around and see each individual shop leading off the mall. and then when the shops door is opened it opens the browser to the shops webstore.

Does anyone know if this could work or would i have to make it as an APP?

    To answer your questions:

    1. Yes, but it's best not to
    2. Yes
    3. It could
    4. No

Basically, unless there's a niche novelty market for it, there's really no good reason (yet) to do something like this. It's going to eat up massive resources, especially mobile data plans, that will make it very much not worth anyone's while.

Is this something you're personally capable of doing? If so, I would suggest putting those skills to work just building a better Joomla theme.

tbh its just an idea rolling around in my head, i wouldn't have a clue how to even get started on it. but i would be willing to learn if it might work out. Thank you for your reply, i'll probably just learn to edit the joomla site (will be alot easier lol )

I've done it before (although a long time ago, so it may be way different now), and it wasn't difficult. That was when I was just learning how to code. I do remember it being a little too rigid in terms of what you can do with it, but I imagine they've fixed that since...at least I would hope they have.
