    Yes indeed, that looks right. Note that all the mysql_* functions usually take a connection argument, if I remember correctly, it's just optional when you've only got one connection open. I think.

    It's extremely strange that a book written for PHP 5 wouldn't take into account that issue... Possibly someone rereleased an old book under the moniker of being for version 5. < shrug >
