    Are you using Web Accelerator or is it enabled on the server somehow? I'm betting that is the problem.

    Yes I am. It can be turned off though.
    I tried that, and it didn't make any difference.

    Good point... Went had a look see...

    There was some white space after the php tag, removed that. Still behaving the same.

    Code for picture_frame.php:

    <?php
    include "resources/error_handling.php";
    $email_address=$_GET['email_address'];

    include "resources/lib.php"; //get server details
    $db = $mysql_databasename;
    $link = mysql_connect($mysql_servername,$mysql_username,$m ysql_password);

    if (! $link) die("Couldn't connect to MySQL");
    mysql_select_db($db , $link) or die("Select Error: ".mysql_error());

    // Get a specific result from table
    $result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM huts WHERE email_address='$email_address'") or die(mysql_error());

    // get the first (and hopefully only) entry from the result
    $row = mysql_fetch_array( $result ); // Print out the contents of each row into a table
    mysql_close($link);

    $photo_blog = $row['photo']; //extract entry photo from row...

    if ($photo_blog) {
    echo $photo_blog;
    } else {
    $filename = "owners/default.jpg";
    $fp = fopen($filename, "r");
    $default = fread($fp, filesize($filename));
    fclose($fp);
    echo $default;
    }

    /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
    // Log view
    /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
    $filename = 'search_log.txt';
    $fp = fopen($filename, "r");
    $search_log = fread($fp, filesize($filename));
    fclose($fp);

    $search_log = $search_log . "picture viewed for id: " . $row['id'] . "\n";

    $fp = fopen($filename, "w");
    $write = fputs($fp, $search_log);
    fclose($fp);

    ?>

    --I dont want to get off the issue in the orriginal post but:
    I have now opend the site on loads of different machines with different connections.. And still havent found one that fails...

    Am a little bemused!

    Could it be something to do with the site being on a server in Europe and you guys being in the US?

    Solved it eventually!

    Changed file: picture_frame.php

    I added a line to detect which browser and then send a header if the browser was netscape...

    if(preg_match("/netscape/i",$_SERVER["HTTP_USER_AGENT"])){
    header('Content-type: image/jpg');
    }

    NB if I sent the header with MSIE then it failed there instead...

    I know bit of a cludge but its my only solution so far...
