    Hi guys
    ummm not sure if im in the right forum but here goes.. Can anyone tell me how i wold compile a website to a exe file like the os commerce and shop-script carts as i would like to supply websites to customers this way as they then have the freedome to move hosts at anytime they like without paying me to move it.

    That is not possible with virtually all systems. Can you be more general with what you're trying to do?

    Not an exe, but a zip/rar/tar.gz etc..

    You would create a installer file (much like an installer file for an application). This would create the database tables/database users, needed files, etc..

    Good luck, that would be a lot of work... Mostly I guess you would want to unpack all the required files and create and fill the database (maybe run code generated from PHPMyAdmin's Export feature).

    It's doable, I guess.
