    I have tripod.com hosting a free site for me. I have allready looked into it, and it does not currently support php and mysql.

    Is there ant way that i can install or configure php and mysql on my website?

    any ideas appreciated

    Not on a free service like tripod.

    You can get hosting for next to nothing these days, for instance for a .co.uk and decent hosting deal, [the domain for 2 years] cost me 20.00

    However if you are wanting to learn PHP/MySQL you can install them on your own computer and build/debug scripts on there.

    If you have a spair computer, and a high speed internet connection you can set up your own web server pretty easily (as long as your ISP doesn't prohibit it)

    There are all the free tools available online

    Web Server - http://www.apache.org
    Dynamic Dns - http://www.dnsexit.com
    MySql - http://www.mysql.com
    php - http://www.php.net
