You'd have to rewrite your blog using PHP, and you'll need a database backend to run it (and the comments).

www.pixel2life.com will have tutorials for doing it. I could offer advice but I'm not good at explaining that sort of stuff.

Why wouldn't someone just use WordPress for free?

Other than learning some intensive PHP/MySQL,
no need to re-invent the wheel, especially a really
    nice "wheel" like WordPress.

Sometimes you want something that will work exactly the way you want it. I don't like these pre-built solutions, such as WordPress and Joomla and what-not, because I have to follow their methods. I really can't cope.

That's why I coded my own blog and comments system. Worked exactly how I wanted it to, did exactly what I wanted. I didn't have to do what the software wanted.

It depends on your take on the situation.

    ljm ...

    ok ... good answer.

You are right, it depends on the situation.

Because you posted in the PHP section, I assume you already
wrote a PHP Blog script then. Now you want to add a comment section?

There are issues about whether or not the comments need to be
approved before they're posted, whether the comment person needs
to pre-register or not, things like that.

I've never written a blog script, but I would assume the comment part
is almost identical to the part where you enter your blog. The difference
would be where the text is associated in the MySQL database. The comments
would be associated with a particular blog ID, instead of a particular date?

This will be tough to answer without seeing some script.

But hats off ... you have a lot more guts than I do.
