    Hi.
"leeches" are small aquatic blodsucking parasites.

In web context though, it's referring to people stealing/lifting information/images/articles from other peoples websites, and republishing it as their own.

In this particular context, they are showing their download statistics to illustrate how popular certain files have been. The numbers include normal/legal downloads, + illegal downloads from other sites that hotlink to their downloadables (leeching).

That's a shame about Sokkit. It is an excellent set, and I found it incredibly easy to set up. The other option is to read filburt's thread on installing PHP, Apache & MySQL in the tutorials forums.

This article at evolt.org includes a very useful membership system script, with loads of features including remember-me, emails, admins (userlevels), profiles etc. It is well commented and in good PHP.

I'm posting this because I've had many questions about where to find a good membership system that people can learn from. I learned loads from this single script.
