I'm creating a site for my friends product and she wants her shopping cart to be like the one on the greyhound site with the product and then you choose the customizations in the next box and then info, etc. Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to do this with either and existing ecommerce script or modifications. Thanks!!

    1. That site sucks. I can't get past step 3.
    2. You don't want a shopping cart, but a travel booking system, like http://www.phpholidays.com/

Agreed - that site does suck. Greyhound won't let me search unless I put in a promotion code - if you don't have one you're out of luck.

A shopping cart website is not what you want for a single product. You better off making a nice branded website that advertises the product and tells a lot about it then a simple buy and pay solution such as paypal as suggested above.

The most important part about this website should be getting the visitors to want to buy the product.

I use Wordpress a great deal for simple websites and blogs - I quite like it for that purpose. I beef up the security starting right with the database on up, but even as an advocate for WP, I would never use it for e-commerce, because I don't think it can be made safe enough for that purpose.
