    hello, every member of this great forum.
    i am very new to php programming, but i had been taking tutorials from an online site for a while now.
    but please i need the assistance of the proffessional programer's concerning MY VERY FIRST PHP LINES OF CODE WHICH IS NOT DISPLAYING THE PRINT TEXTS withing the codes. even after i have a php wamp server installed on my personal computer. please i don't know why this is happenning. any help please.

    the php code is <?php print ("hello world");>

    thanks.
    i could have gone far with my php programming skill but since my first script rufused to work it is really weighing me down. pls, i need your sugesstions.

    You are probably getting a blank screen if you don't have "error reporting" enabled.
    If you enable error reporting, it will tell you that you're missing something near >

    You are missing the closing ?>

    <?php print ("hello world");?>

    This Hello World script is the same thing as yours only expanded a bit so it's easier to see.

    <?php
    echo "Hello World";
    ?>

    If you do all of your script editing using Notepad++, you'll discover that is highlights your code with colors, making it easy to see simple syntax errors.
