I had three databases on my hosting account, each on a different URL. Today I think that they were all wiped out.

My sites can't access any of them. I keep getting a message that php cannot contact database. I went into my cpanel and all of my databases were gone!

What the heck happend? Any ideas? And, even more important, do you know of a fix?

I'm waiting for my host to get back with me, but he can be really slow to respond. And, I'm totally confuesed about what's going on.

    Any ideas?

What was the exact error? If it was something like "can't connect to database through mysql.sock" it's a temporary issue that your host will probably remedy... If they're just gone.. well, I don't know what can cause that. Ask your host. And, always remember SOS - Save often Stupid (Back up your websites often)

Thanks. After I got done freaking out I looked up the error message. It was error 202 (or 2002?). Your right it's just that the databse server is temporarily down.

    I've got so much to learn . . .
