We're a new web dev company and not really savvy on emarketing. PPC is the only main source of marketing we have now. Would love to get any support/suggestions on getting more hits and be seen.

PPC is effective but can be expensive.

Type in SEO tutorial in Google. Search Engine Optimization will be good for you, but it will take more explaining than I have room for here.

The basic idea is that you will choose key words that people type in when they are searching with search engines and use them on your site in key areas like headers, links, and a reasonable amount in the body text. That way, when a search engine indexes your page and someone searches using those key words, your page comes up because it has the keywords in all the right places.

Get some friends and other sites to link to you. Don't buy links or use a link exchange program. Just do it personally with sites that are similar to yours.

Run a blog that talks about what is on your site. People love blogs.

    Good luck!

Get lots of quality backlinks to your site, getting them from sites with a similar content to yours is best. Avoid linkfarms, I don't see any problem with buying links though. Thats typical seo practice. Of course, if you've got a unique site with good content people will (eventually) link to you naturally.

Definately work on optimizing your web pages. Make sure you have your keywords in your page title (a different title per page), have your page title in an H1 or H2 heading on the page, make your file names with keywords (for example if your site is about "web content writing", make the page name "web-content-writing". Using dashes (not underscores) will separate the keywords for search engines.

There is much more optimization you can do, this is just scratching the surface.

PPC is only temperary, if you work on good SEO practices eventually you won't need PPC, people will find you on your own.
