I was just looking at the traffic stats for my site and one of the visiters had a very odd referal link stat:

    http://www.statcounter.com/counter/counter.js

Obviously, no one could get to my site from there so what is it?

    Is that just a glitch?

It could be someone looking at their stats then manually typing your web address into their browser bar.

Them being a referrer means they came from a page to your page by a web link or a direct http:// entry.

Not sure how that got into your referrer list.

But statcounter is a web site hit counter. So if a webmaster wants to see how much hits a particular page of his site is getting, they would sign up with statcounter and get some HTML code (known as a dart) to embed on the page. Then every time a visitor views that page, statcounter keeps a count. The site owner then knows how many visitor is landing on that page.

You can get more info at statcounter.com
