    @.@ heck I would love not no-follow because it would provide an additional benefit to posting here. Heck, I'd be willing to pitch in some time as a moderator to help get rid of any spam created due to that change.
    ~~~HOWEVER~~~
    If anybody is posting here to get backlinks then they shouldn't bother. This forum is for web designers and developers to share ideas and learn stuff, not for the spammers to gain SEO benefits. So I think that it's probably a wise choice to make all links No-follow. If anybody posts here JUST because they want the backlinks then we don't need them.
    Ask. Forums are all about asking questions and getting answers - so ask.
    You could also read the FAQ and/or the rules, if there are any - a lot of times it's stated somewhere on the site.
    View the page source code (right-click your mouse on the page and select view source from the menu), for the pages that you have posts on and look for code that looks something like this:
    rel="nofollow">Xbox Forum</a>
    Dofollow exists in the minds and the advertising of SEO "gurus" who want to suck people in and make them pay for the Internet equivalent of snake oil,.
    That. "dofollow" exists in the same way that leprechauns, fairies, and North American party politics exist.
    Dofollow forums are only found on servers physically located in the lost city of Atlantis.
    Just wanted to reiterate that "dofollow" is a completely made up term. When "SEO experts" add things like "rel='dofollow'" to their links, you're basically saying "Hey Google, I'm a big dumb idiot."
    It doesn't pass more "juice" to your links, but I wouldn't be surprised if Google's algorithm watched out for this attribute to flag questionable links. That's pure speculation and probably not true. But still, don't use it.
    Most of what you need to know about the nofollow attribute can be found on Matt Cutt's blogs: PageRank sculpting
