    yoast SEO

I use Yoast SEO but I find it slightly weird.

what's your opinion on trying to edit the page to get the traffic light to go green?
Some buttons I wont be able to do as it will just mess my page up, but as I'm new to SEO websites any help or recommended free plugins to help me would be great.

What traffic light? I don't see one.

I think he's talking about errors. I don't use WP but my assumption is that the Youst SEO plugin has a system that lights up red/yellow/green depending on what it sees as errors in SEO.

That makes sense. I didn't think of that.

Mind you, most "SEO tools" and plugins are useless anyway and from what I've seen of Yoast it's in that group.

Yoast SEO shows every field through which you can turn on the green signal like meta title, focus keyword and meta description etc. on each and every page.

    >> get the traffic light to go green?

They have tooltips and there is a good explanation...for each field.

It is slightly wierd as it required main keywords to be "repeated" everywhere..and in the same sequence

Do not follow ALL their recommendation..Follow that you think may be right and is helpful

We've got a couple of WP sites that have Yoast with the orange lite showing on both sites. Both sites have a Page 1 Google ranking in all their search strings so go figure.

The reason the sites have a Page 1 Google ranking is because of their domain names, the Titles and Descriptions and their content was well thought out and well written. I just bet we could deactivate the Yoast plugin and neither site's ranking would change.
