    Website Showing as Old Title

    Hi Everyone

Have been trying to get my new website (Telly Binge) to appear on Google. Other pages are appearing, but my homepage is currently not even on the top results and very rarely does it appear in the top three pages.

Yet, when you Google my old website (Media Pick which redirected to Telly Binge in March 2015) - the Telly Binge homepage is first in it's results. This is despite Telly Binge not mentioning my old website at any point in tags or title.

Telly Binge has now been opened for a full year and has gained a decent following on social media, but this issue is causing people to not visit via Google etc.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this please?

First of all, rank checking is absolutely useless. What you see won't be what I see won't be what others see won't even be what you see on different devices.

Second, your question is incomplete. What are you Googling? What are you seeing? What are others seeing or not seeing? If I Google Media Pick, I actually see Telly Binge as the first result.

My guess is that something else is happening that isn't being relayed to us, but you may not even necessarily be aware of it yourself. It's just something we'll see that you may not.

Like Game has said, you didnt really tell us everything we need to know. So i searched with the only option I felt I had. I searched "telly binge" and got your honepage 3rd, right under your twitter and the weekly list.

To further prove Games point about there not being a reason rank check. I googled Media Pick and got your site, but it was 3rd on the list. Under 2 non related sites.

Google is extremely smart, and theres a reason why their name has become a verb that describes their major service. Results aren't solely based on keywords, but also location, history and tons of other variables that play into what we all get as results.

I'm not really good in on-page seo, but I somehow understand your problem...

    Quick question:
    Did you try 301 redirect?
Did you update your new sitemap and robots?

Age could be an issue. Older websites that have been continuously successful in Google rank higher. Check your <title> section of your homepages, too. It is strongly influencing the homepages position in regard to the keywords that a user entered into Google.

Sorry for the lack of information.

My main objective is to get tellybinge.co.uk/index.php (the homepage itself) near the top - when you search Telly Binge and TellyBinge in search engines. (even within the first page would be good, it's just not appearing!!!!)

At the moment the below is what I see, and although some of these swap around on the various computers I have tried - the homepage NEVER shows in my area. I don't understand why it is showing other pages such as newtvseries and winafreedvd but totally blanking my homepage? Any ideas please?

As many have you have pointed out, the homepage tellybinge.co.uk is showing when you search media pick - but yet not appearing when you search for telly binge. Which is my basic problem, hopefully that makes sense?

Media Pick was re-directed people originally to Telly Binge (as TB was the new website, and MP was the older version), to ensure that older viewers found the new website. But I removed this about 2/3 months ago now.

Updated sitemap via the website and also Google Webmaster Tools. Have no real robot instructions.

Telly Binge started in May of last year, so has been around for about 11 months.
In terms of the title, my current instructions are <title>Telly Binge | Actor Interviews & Episode Reviews</title>
