Google themselves have said that they use https as a ranking signal, albeit a very small one: https://webmasters.googleblog.com/20...ng-signal.html

The answer is "the SEO benefit is not the important benefit."

SSLs are used to encrypt data in transmission to avoid interception, hence the https. That's the important benefit. If you're adding an SSL to a site just for "SEO benefit", that's not an effective use of your time and money. It's a small ranking signal and one that doesn't apply to the majority of queries.

HTTP means just one of the normal website, not verified and secured.
HTTPS is verified and Secure for website, https includes SSL-Secure Socket Layer.

On one hand, Google has confirmed the ranking boost of HTTPS. On the other hand, with over 200 ranking, it's likely you'll find the effect of any ranking influence to remain quiet small.

In fact, a recent study by Search Metrics showed no detectable advantage to sites using HTTPS.

Like most ranking signals, it is very hard to isolate on its own.

HTTP means hyper text transfer protocol and when you purchase SSL means secure socket layer for your site, than your site use HTTPS means hyper text transfer protocol secure.

HTTPS stands for Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure. It provides a small ranking boost but can actually hamper your rankings if your website is a standard http website and all of your links point that version of the domain. Duplicate content can also be created if you do not setup proper redirects. Switching from http to https is quite complicated as you will have to sometimes go back to change your backlinks to the https version or redirect them properly.
