How to remove google indexed pages that dont exist

    Hi,

I recently deleted and reinstalled my WordPress website and it is now a one-page website with no other pages. In the sitemap there is only about 3 links, homepage, posts and categories (sitemap).

When i google site:sparkdesigners.com i get about 4 pages of links that lead to pages that were generated by my theme that i used a while ago. These are no longer existing pages but they are still being indexed by google.

How can i remove them permanantly so they don't come up in search engines?

Use Google webmaster tools (now officially called "Search Console", nobody calls it that though)

    Add your site

Go to the "Google Index" section, then "Remove URLs"

I guess using robot.txt to all such pages would do the trick for you.

Hello you can regenerate a new sitemap and then add it your website and if you still see that link is being indexed by google then you can block that by using no index attribute in your robots.txt file.
