Cool Encryption | HTTPS | TLS | SSL Importance

Hey my fellow coders and SEO specialists,

Lets talk encryption.. We all know WordPress accounts for 90% of the modern web... We also know that WordPress is very insecure by nature (and slow... not mine though .. 78/94 PageSpeed) Also take note that every popular website Google, Yahoo, Etc.. is Encrypted.. Is this a coincidence? I think not, IMO.. I know for a fact websites are already getting more "points" from Google for encryption.. I know a lot of smart talented ppl visit this awesome website and curious how others view this issue.

I would like to share my results from my current experiences.. I started by encrypting a customers website and knew exactly the alleged risks involved and went ahead and dived in to perform a real life test of how encryption affects the current search results. To make a long story short, after performing encryption, done correctly, the website maintained its current #1 ranking.

If anyone is interested in my work visit https://bailbondsaffordable.com - search results would include: sarasota bail bonds, you'll notice the #1 status of the website I encrypted.. now don't forget that you WILL lose your social points and have to start from scratch. So if your site is powered by social points/signals alone be cautious, this one wasn't..... I will perform encryption soon on one of my personal sites that is mostly powered by social points/signals and post results. Also don't forget that i had to fine tune (i mean REALLY fine tune) my server to handle encryption fast and/or properly... Was pretty complicated.. I would post all my technology and upgrades if it wasn't such a big part of my new marketing campaign code named "Encrypt America" If you are sharp enough you can view my source code and figure it out (shhhh lol) (most of it).

Also did you know that web 2.0 / SPDY only supports encrypted websites? Now you do... Summary: Go and encrypt your websites and post results here.. I'm sure you will be happy and will get happier each month for the next cpl years as encryption becomes almost standard/necessary... Get that edge on your competition now!! ( I still have 4 personal websites to do!!)

    Best regards,
    Chris aka Bettis007

Encryption is one factor in a very long list of on-page SEO factors. Being encrypted or not is not going to have any significant impact on a websites SEO performance

I'm just waiting to see if anyone else has any thoughts similar to my own.

Corby's post was moderated for some reason, so it wasn't showing up, but it's part of one of my thoughts.
