Content marketing can be sometimes a bit tricky. You need high authrority domain if you want to rank your content.
It means not only unique means good. You also have to own some authority to spread the word.
btw content always need to be unique + helpfull.

The biggest problem with content is finding the right people to produce it. There`s a ton of copywriters, web designers and so on, but still getting an appropriate quality from them seems really hard, especially if you work with freelance specialists.

Agreed. To rank nowadays in SERPs, for example, you either need to be first, or be in niche. And in a niche, you need people with expertise in that niche to create the content, and of course they are expensive. Generally speaking in content marketing and publishing, it's hard to find people who can A) actually write B) follow a brief and be reliable, and C) know what they're talking about.

If the content is good and content marketing is not that great then I think content is going to be like a hidden treasure UNLESS someone discovers and shares it with the world. Now, content marketing is tricky but only if you do it right, you can get a lot of traction. Now, people are saying that you need to have authority..but how do you build authority? You build it with good content, helpful and problem solving. Content can really help a lot in content marketing if it is great, if the case opposite then content marketing only gets more difficult.
