cant you just set the track color to the bacground color of your page to get the opaque effect? For example on a page with a black background:

If your image is on a website and viewed on the end-users browser then they can get at it END OF STORY! Either by simply right-clicking and 'save as', retrieving from their cache, disabling...

Just to back up the post above; Firefox is W3.org compliant so if it renders properly in that then it should work in the others!
