I just registered a domain, set nameservers, within 20minutes of setting it up DNS had propogated to most of my friends.... wow

Yet another reason that GoDaddy is awesome. I am just flat out stunned.

    Yes, GoDaddy kicks ***.
I've registered all my domains with them, and they simply work, nothing to worry about.
    Cheapest of all, too.

eNom is pretty good about that too. You can steal away domains from people with GoDaddy, their security is pretty lax, even with DOMAIN LOCK ON. We have had 4 or so domains stolen from us via GoDaddy and they don't want to seem to do anything about it. eNom has the same prices as GoDaddy and 4 times the security, and the people there are smart, unlike the majority of the people who answer the phone for GoDaddy.

I suppose that by doing a fast register just when the domain has expired, dunno.

I mean, if you register it for one year, just after that year passes

Verisign introduced this feature to the .com/.net registry in September. Updates usually take about 5 minutes to propagate now. GoDaddy has nothing to do with it, in fact they actually slow the process down by queuing registry commands.

Regarding "domain security": eNom is much less secure than GoDaddy. Have you ever tried to transfer out? There is no automated method to stop a fraudulent transfer, and for .org/.info domains eNom doesn't even inform you of a pending transfer!

I thought DNS propogation was up to the hundreds of thousands of ISP's worldwide? That's what I thought always took the time.
