    however, the content of this thread http://www.webdesignforums.net/showthread.php?p=158972 makes me a little weary of you asking this question - it all seems a bit fishy to me.

    yes, but what is your deal with registering domains that are forums, bbs, or otherwise?

    many people see this as "shady".

    Shady and almost certainly abusing the ethos of opensource development.

    One saving grace is that .in is a pretty useless extension.

    i agree - there should be some sort of protection law that you can apply for once you have established your domain. that way people like this wouldn't be capitalizing on your success..

    sorry dotcommakers, but i don't think most (if any) members here agree with your domain registration practices - just read the other controversial thread you started.

    it's unethical, and in my opinion it's blatantly stupid and somewhat annoying.
