I am looking for a cheap host for our Non-Profit Youth Organization called the Navy League of Canada.
I started the website for the kids and parents in our community last year and with the problem of picking the wrong host at the beginning, we are now looking for another host. Our site has grown to over 75MB. The problem is that all costs for the site comes from advertizing on the pages locally and that only amounts to about $40.00 Canadian. ( I know thats about what? $1.00 American? LOL)
We have our own .ca name and are now looking for a good host.
Any and all suggestion would be great.
I Only wish I knew about this Board last year.
Thanks in advance guys and gals

    $27.55 USD = $40.00 CD.

If that's the yearly rate you want then you're pretty much out of luck. You might want to post in Service Requests to see if somebody can taylor a custom deal for you.

If that's monthly then you can afford pretty much any host, in which case I recommend http://www.hostmatters.com/ .

No, It's what we bring in by the Month. World web Hosters, our past (BAD) host cost a total $ 35.00 for 1000MB of space for a year. If we can find someone for about $100.00 per year Canadian and at least 150MB of space, that would be great.

If it's per month then you have no problem at all.

How much bandwidth do you use and what extra services do you need (PHP, MySQL, ASP, JSP, SSH, Anon FTP, etc.)?

I use Frontpage to do all my updates, and posting, I only used the web control panel to read the site reports and work with the email accounts. I am not sure how much BW we would need, We used to get about 500 to 600 visitors a month. and we need the ability for sub domains ie:
    navyleaguesudbury.ca/Mountbattenalumni
We do need room to expand though, I am going to be placing more pictures in our Cadet Picture gallery. I am also working on reducing the upload time of pages and the size of pages by designing backgrounds instead of installing lots of pictures on the one page.
I think I'm not doing to bad in designing web pages, I only started January 2002.
One other site I designed and upkeep for him is happyrhodes.com

You might want to check out one of HM's lower-end plans, then. That's who I use to host WDF and they're pretty good, about to start a second year with them.

I'm on the B1000 plan, but then again I need pretty much every feature of it due to WDF's increasing size.

    Thanks Filburt1,
A friend of mine told me today of ukhost4u.com
I've checked Google for any bad comments and other Host servers, but could not find any bad comments on them.
