    Good Afternoon,

I just finished a website I made in Frames using FP2000, being a rookie I dont know of any good companies that can take care of website submission/indexing/listing..etc, unfortunately I dont know too much about this kinda stuff. Can anyone recommend a company that would do a good job.

    Thanks

Firstly, I'd recommend that you entirely avoid auto-submission software. Those that advertise submission to thousands of search engines are likely a terrible waste of money.

    Note the following: (personal observations)

1/ there are less than a dozen search engines that cover about 99.9% of internet traffic.

2/ there are a lot of local interest only search engines - sure, you can submit to the London Dierctory - but unless you have a site with direct relevance to London it won't be listed.

It isn't hard to do manual submission - cover the big names and you're covered. Get listed in DMOZ (which *does* take time) and you'll be indexed by most engines anyway (though note that paid for submission engines may well favour paid submissions).

Anyway - here's a list for anyone looking to do manual submissions:

EDIT: The above link gives a list of search engines, with direct links to the actual submission pages.
