I was thinking of becoming a domain reseller (and no, filburt, I won't advertise it here ). If I charged less than $7.95 (maybe $7.75?), would I be the first?

You'd be the first that I know of. TheGame started a thread asking if people would buy domains from him here. I think Transio makes a good point:

Didn't somone just debate the same consideration? Yes, this thread- only a few floors down- from 'here':

...about $7.75, there's a couple resellers/registrars hovering that price. I know that buying in bulk that price is obtainable with extras.

    $5.99
Need a rock-bottom price solution for Domain Names which you don't need full DNS services for?
Open a 'Name Only' account, exclusively at eNom, and start saving BIG.
    http://www.enom.com/domains/

$5.95 for name only accounts, that's the lowest I've ever seen.

What does "Name Only" mean? Wouldn't you need DNS services if you were getting a domain?

For example, they wouldn't forward your domain to another address or have parking.

Of course, eNom is offering that price for resellers that put down a $495 deposit, and it doesn't include sales fees (e.g. they take like 3% + 30c for payment processing).

You can get an enom reseller account. The lowest rate is $6.95.

    http://oneandone.co.uk
    do fairly cheap .co.uk names.
    www.me2uweb.com/domains also cheap .co.uk names
http://www.domainnamesgb.com/ do very cheap .com names and if i have understood what they have said on the site, if you put in the name you want and continue to register if gives you options such as e-mail services and web space. if you just want the .com name i looks like it is free to forward or somthing along those lines. Sorry if i haven't explained it very clearly.
