    PowWeb.com - Excellent customer support, $7.77/month (what I use )
NeXcess.net - $20/month gives you a lot for what you pay for, reliable service
    Globat.com - 1 Gig space, 50 gigs transfer for $7.50/month

Hosts are getting cheaper and cheaper!
BondMovies.com - "Nobody Does It Better."

What kind of support are you going to get wtih nexcess and globat? Are you going to suffer any downtime?

The thing I don't like about powweb is that you have to signup for a minimum of 3 months. Where as with other hosts you are billed on a motnhly basis .

I am currently hosted with http://www.unitedhosting.co.uk they are on the rackshack.net network which is based out of houston, Texas, and they have excellent support, and uptime. On my current plan I am recieving 1gb space, 10gb bandwidth for $13/month .

I don't know if I see hosts getting cheaper and cheaper as a completely good thing. On the one hand, it does save money, but on the other, it does tend to cause a lot of good companies who offer professional service to go with their hosting packages to look worse than those who choose to lowball and offer next to no service. Price should never be the only factor when choosing a web host, and the rule "you get what you pay for" is magnified about 10 times over when it comes to hosting.

Having said all that, my personal favourite host is SectorLink. They've always treated me fairly and responded to my concerns quickly, the downtime is minimal, and they offer a good value for what you pay for (especially all the extra NT components there are to play with and learn.)

I'm going to be reviewing another company soon (within the next month) as soon as I've had the proper opportunity to test out the services and find out what they're all about.

eh, I probally have one of the better hosts. They have a 99% uptime, (its more than that, something like 99.6% only beacause of upgrades), and I get 4 gigs space, 67 gigs bandwith unlimited subdomains, etc, for only $20 a month. If anyone wants to know their other prices goto http://www.revolutionhosting.net so you can view their plans.

Please don't post affiliate links. That's advertising. Thanks.

There are a lot of reputable hosting companies out there - there are also an awful lot of fly-by-nights looking to make a quick buck, only to find they have to dump the company - and their customers, within a year.

I've got plans with the following companies:

    www.VenturesOnline.com
    www.akashik.net
    www.myacen.com
    www.okihost.com

I choose these simply because I felt they were the best for me for what I wanted - I required CPanel plans only, and each company *had* to work out of a completely different datacenter.

Everyone has different requirements. I know that I passed over lots of other well-respected companies simply because I was juggling with a number of constraints - not least an very tight budget.
