I am helping a client choose a new domain name in order to help her become more visible, but we can't decide which name to choose. I have my choice, she has hers, and her agent has another suggestion. The current domain is sacred-connections.us.

    Which would you choose?

I assume that she is a pyshic, based on the other site currently up?
Then she probably knows what I am going to suggest? Sorry, couldn't help it.

Because most top level domains are taken, I understand the need for the hyphen but I always recommend against it.
If she is based in Canada and that is most of her clientelle, then .ca is fine. Nothing wrong with .org which would be my suggestion.
    It is the most simple.

    Good luck.....

A psychic-medium. Image is very important, and she doesn't want to use the psychic or medium in the domain name, because she has a book deal pending, and she isn't sure how the marketing for that is going to go just yet.

I prefer it when .org domains are reserved for actual organizations, preferably non-profit. Some people abuse that rule, obviously, but I think it's a good one to follow. Now, the difference between hyphen or no hyphen... I think that's really very largely a matter of taste. I'm a fan of separating words somehow :-)

She wants to go with the .org. It isn't my first choice, or hers, we both would prefer a .com, but that isn't likely.

She doesn't like hyphens, and wants something beyond a .ca. The lady with barbpowell.com isn't selling, so there aren't many other options.
