    does ne1 know how i can setup a DNS Server.

    there is this program called WinDNS and it looks like it does that job.

    cuz i am setting up a webserver at my shcool. apache, php, and mysql is already installed on a windows 2000 advance server os.

    going to buy a domain next week.

    I don't think he wants to use a DNS service... i think he wants to actually set up a DNS SERVER.

    sonic, i'm not sure about the administrative aspects of DNS, but i'm pretty sure you need two physical machines as separate DNS servers, and they have to be registered with some authority.

    just pay for DNS service from a company that does it for you. I think http://www.directnic.com is the most popular... they're like $5 a year.
