All right. So i go to godaddy.com and find a domain name that i like.
I click register.. and on step 3, i get confused. Which one is an actual normal site. With links and stuff? For example, like a site such as one one would make about themselves.

    the options are...

    Hosting these domains:
Junior $2.95/mo. Deluxe $6.95/mo. Deluxe with CGI $7.95/mo. Deluxe with ASP $9.95/mo.
    (price is per domain)
Building a Web Site for these domains:
    1. WebSite Tonight™ - Click 'n build your site, right online. Includes hosting and email. (Works on Windows 9x, IE 5.5 or later).
    5 Pages $4.95/mo. 10 Pages $8.95/mo. 20 Pages $12.95/mo.

    2. WebSite Complete® - software. 470+ templates; includes e-commerce. Host anywhere. Just $14.95
    CD-ROM Download

    3. One Page Web Sites - fast, easy!
For Sale Page $2.95/yr. 1 Page Site $14.95/yr.
which selection is the right one as described above.
Ad space - for sale, $19.95/month

Those are hosting options that GoDaddy offers you along with your domain registration. You can find a better deal by NOT using GoDaddy hosting, so I wouldn't choose any of those. Register the domain with GoDaddy and get the hosting somewhere else. Until you're hosting package is set up, you can forward your URL to another web address for free via the GoDaddy control panel.

You can select forwarding and then change it in the cpanel later, or you can choose to enter the nameservers now. Uzipp should give you atleast two nameservers to enter (ie. ns2.uzipp.com) and this is how you tell GoDaddy where your site is hosted.

Exactly. "Hosting these domains elsewhere" should prompt you to enter the nameservers.
