Recently I have been getting a message that I need to set my password in WAMP. Unfortunately, I can't find where to do that.

Does anyone know where to set the WAMP password?

    Thanks!

Password for what part ? The php admin, apache ?

WAMP itself doesnt use or require a password, suspect its a message from MySQL...but to should run in anonymous ... Check your settings in WAMP for mysql to see if there is a password option there ?

Did you import a DB from a different mysql install ? Perhaps it has the old DB password in the connection string... Which you need to change...

I had that problem one time only, on an older computer at school - I went nuts trying different things, and finally asked my prof, who went and asked the IT guy - it turned out in the end it wanted the administrator password for the computer in order to connect to the db. That was so weird, it had never occurred to me as a solution.

I can't find the message now. I now have bigger problems. I was testing a slider plugin and seem to have broken the database. As soon as I realized the plugin wasn't going to work I uninstalled it. But now the database is corrupt or something. I don't have a lot of content.

I've checked PHPMyAdmin and everything looks ok. When I click on my project in WAMP I get this screen:

If I click on wordpress, I get my home page but no data.
Would it be easier to just start all over? I don't really have much content yet.

If I click on a link I get a Not found page. I've checked the wp-config.php file and everything looks ok. I just can't figure out how to get everything back.

I thought so too at first. But I checked the wp-config.php file and it's pointing to the right database. Is there any other place where the database is referenced?

Also, I think the reason I can't find the password message is because the database appears to be broken. I was getting the message back when all was working fine.
