    Invision Media/Hosts

    Invision Media

Does anyone know about this company - or has anyone got any experiences of them?

Their site appears to be under construction - but the deals they offer look good.

    -750 MB Disk Space
    -10 GB Monthly Bandwidth
    -5 E-Mail POP Accounts
All for $10.95 (about 8 UK Sterling I think)

Is this too good to be true or what?

BTW - link obtained from www.woodrrows.com (site being reviewed here currently)

They have been around for less than a month. I wouldn't trust any hosting company that has been around for less than a year.

Okay, Thanks JD. Does anyone in the UK know anything about 1&1 (www.oneandone.co.uk) - they've been around for a while - and have millions of customers. - Any reviews people?

One and one is probably the biggest hosting company in the UK. I am also from the UK and I use www.34sp.com, they are fairly expensive, but they have excellent uptime and customer support.

From what I hear, oneandone isn't worth the hassle - they got millions of customers from heavy marketing - and keep all the registered domains as a bonus.

If you're going to go with oneandone, just don't register your domain through them. Likely, it's essential to their hosting plans, though.

As for invision media - sounds like they're trying to predate on the popular invision name - I'd give them a wide berth until they prove their worth over the next couple of years - assuming they haven't oversold themselves bust, packed up as the CEO leaves school, or else been bankrupted by a legal battle with Invision Power Services.

    Okay, thanks I, Brian.

Does anyone know of any other hosts (perferably worldwide ones based in UK or USA) that are good for hosting, as well as registering a domain name with.
I know you all like GoDaddy.com, but any others?
