    Migration troubles

Very odd things happening on my clients site, he got a new server and I began the migration process by making a zip file of his current site structure in cpanel, which for those that don't know, creates the zip while leaving the original intact. Now it seems that several of his sites have vanished from the network, the backups of his server have vanished, and several hosted files have disappeared as well. I checked the zip file, and it seems those same items are missing from the archive. Any ideas what may have happened?

OK, so I've found the problem. It appears that the server has been breached and a Linux worm is having its way with the files. Time to nuke and restore an older backup.
