    .htaccess causing 2 emails to be sent...

    my index.php - has mail() command to send an email... it sends one email...

    but when I upload .htaccess it sends 2...

    the output to the browser only shows once... (I think database actions only once as well?)

    # BEGIN WordPress
    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
    # Rewrite HTTP to HTTPS
    RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=on
    RewriteRule ^(.*) https://%{SERVER_NAME}/$1 [R,L]
    </IfModule>
    # END WordPress
