    Dunno if this is in the right forum section, but oh well.

    I have a question about virtual hosting with apache.
    I would like to have it so when my ip is typed in with a port eg 192.168.0.1 it would point to c:\www\site1
    192.168.0.1:1234 it would point to c:\www\site2

    I have tried this but with no luck, i know someone else must have had to do this at some point. please advise me of what i need to do.

    cheers.

    hmm i can try to answer this for you;;

    virtual sites point to either port 80 or 81 depending on what you like -- 80 is used most of the time on the net ..

    ip number by itself will only go to one site unless you have C:\www\site2\othersites\

    multiple directories ----

    you can have multiple domain point to one ip and apache will direct the domain to the proper virtual host for you --this has to be setup via httpd.conf --check out www.apache.org for more info -- hope this helps
