    Hi...

Me and 2 friends of mine (filburt will know them) are looking for a Dedicated server to share between us...

We have searched high and low for the best deal we can find...We are really looking for a Dedicated server that has about or more than 40Gb of space, 400Gb of Bandwidth, is maintained and upgraded by the owner of the server, and has some ability to provide hosting on it, so that we can lessen or negate the cost of the server itself...

We have found one website that can offer most or all of this, except the major one which is updating and upgrading - They will only offer hardware upgrades, not software, so the PHP and MySQL Versions they offer with the servers are not new enough to suit our forums...

We are not sure whether we can update the PHP and MySQL versions, so not having to do so would be a good preference

Anyone know anywhere we can find something like this for a fairly cheapish price?

You can choose a managed plan for an extra $30 a month, for support and upgrades etc.

http://www.verio.com is good if you don't mind paying a lot

Also, there's Exodus (not sure of the url)... the world's largest dedicated server & colocation host (really big $$$ though). They host Yahoo, I think.

Be careful of discount dedicated hosts. Many of them will host you on a virtual machine which will appear to you like a real computer from the outside, but is actually an instance of an operating system on a machine shared by 5 or 10 other instances.
