Good luck finding one - I don't know of any of the top of my head or quick google search and I'm gonna guess any free services are going to have ads.

www.brinkster.com is free and non-ad supported. The catch is that they let you use the free stuff to try and hook you into the paid stuff, which is overpriced for what they offer. But the free service is great. I've set up a few personal sites on it in the psat and it worked very well.

    www.freewebs.com

Upload your own HTML files and they won't append an advert to them.

Why not just buy a domain for $8 (5) and hosting for around $25(ish) (15).

Exactly. The odds of you finding an ad-free free host are pretty slim at best.

I have loosed a month searching for them and found this:

http://www.portland.co.uk - if you have a domain you can use 15mb free hosting or choose one of their free domain names (usually ending with port5.com)

http://www.chromehost.com - they give you a lot of space (200MB I think) plus a cpanel, 5 dbs, php etc. (you can use your own domain, or buy one for 9$, btw read somewhere on the forums how exactly to use your own domain)

    I hope they'll be useful.

ChromeHost is ad-supported. And for the record, they offer 50 MB diskspace.

That Portland one doesn't look too bad though, other than the transfer (and for a free host, 100 MB per month, although low, is understandable.)

No it's not. I'm hosting http://www.ironation.com/ on it and as you can see there isn't any ads on it.

Hmmm. Said it was somewhere on the site. Maybe you got in on a grandfather clause or something.
