Before 1 month or so I claimed my hosting award for wining the talent contest (domain + hosting for 1 year) and I saw that the guy registered my domain vr-studios.net but didn't host it yet. So I tried to contact him for some time now but he doesn't respond. I want my site up ASAP. I was thinking of transfering the hosting but how when the guy isn't responding, btw the mail listed in the domain whois is mine.

Contact the domain registrar about your issue. The email (from what I could gather) is aaron@prattboy.com . They should be able to send you a login/password/whatever you need to get the transfer going.

Then you, my friend, are up the creek without a paddle. Good thing you didn't spend any money.

My poor, poor English Rose. Perhaps a cup of tea...or Cup-a-Soup...served by yours truly would help.

Probably wouldn't help, unless you recorded the call.

The only other recourse you might have is to contact ICANN and see if they'll help you resolve this issue. Mind you, they'll probably tell you to ask someone else who will tell you to ask someone else and so on and so on...so if I were you, I'd write down in detail exactly what happened and what you hope to accomplish, and that way the situation's explained.

It means the domain can't be transferred from one registrar to another. Hosting can still be changed, just not the registrar.
