We're a small startup located in Vancouver BC focused on trying to get micro budget consumers away from do it yourself website builders that are sub-par at best. Using tools available (themes as well as well known/tested plugins like VC) we are building out small business websites (5-10 page portfolio style sites geared to small biz) for less than a DIY.
As a 'club', we're also giving back to our community with every 100 sites sold - 1 of those clients will win $5K to put toward their business.
Very simple, straight-forward with addon's like site seo setup and tech support. Over time we will begin to offer clients mini classes that they can take to learn how to edit/add/change their sites.
These sites are meant for small business and any custom work goes out to our larger design agency.
Pricing starts at $499.00 for a customized 10 page site and is a one time fee, sites are built on WP platform and clients can take/move their site at anytime (memberships are paid upfront for the year).
We launched the last week of December and we are hoping to giveaway the first 5K by the end of the month
Built out of sheer frustration for micro site/owners being taking advantage of (i.e. one of our client's was paying $90.00 a month to Yellow Pages for a outdated 3 page website that had never been updated in the two years he was with them) or builders like Wix who are continuing to increase their prices, increase their app fees and pretty much know that their client's are stuck with them.
Even with themes, the WP platform will allow for growth (should they need it) and solid editors like VC means client's can easily learn to update their sites.
Found the forum on a search but happy to see it here and I'll be reading and participating (if you'll have me!)
Happy New Year everyone.
