Tips for a high ranking in Google

I work as Marketing and Sales for a webdesign company as I often get the question "What is a good website?". But then I have to disappoint them directly as a general answer does not exist. A good website is for everyone else. That depends on your goals and available resources. You can compare it with the question "What is a good car?". For young families with small children, which safety is more important than speed and horsepower, it could be a family car such as Volvo. An elderly couple on the other hand would go for an Audi TT. What is a good car for me, is not necessarily a good car for you. And no I don't have any of the cars.
But just like with cars, there are a few points that you should consider when creating your website that leans perfectly with the target audience that you have carefully chosen.

In the next days I will gave you some more tips.

    1. Website needs to be easily find in Google

Google is by far the most used search engine in Belgium.
Your website can be so beautiful, functional and user friendly, but if it is difficult to find, your website is useless. Want to know if it is easy to find in Google, do this test: Open incognito in your browser window and search on the major keywords. You have to look incognito, otherwise you'll get a distorted view because Google remembers your search behavior.
Follow the next tips on how to get on the first page on Google:
    1. Google should be able to properly index the content of your website,
    2. The content should be unique, so best not copy / paste from another website, because this is going to even be counterproductive,
    3. The content must be of high quality. The main terms should definitely be mentioned on your website,
    4. The technology must be fast,
    5. Writing regular blog post is also a great way to get high in Google.
Do you find it difficult to write a good text, let it definitely do it by a professional team. Just because it is so important that the content is SEO friendly written, it is not a good idea to save money on it by doing it by yourself.
Another tip that sometimes is overlooked, is the text size and font. Font that was used 10 years ago , is no longer appropriate. General rule for font size: from 14 pixels. When choosing a font, you must make sure that it is easy to read. So do not use too much curls. I think the perfect font is Arial.

Tomorrow I will give an other tip for a high ranking in Google.

This seems like a rather disconnected series of statements. What exactly is the point you're trying to make and how does it relate to the subject of the post?

You could use this content on your own website, but I would suggest you go into greater detail. The people that would seek out information on SEO would likely already know the details that you stated. The readers would likely get more out of your article if you go into greater detail about how to accomplish the things that you stated.

How many 1000's of websites are you having to compete with for that first page ranking?

I heard a SEO pro speaking recently and she made the statement:

With 1000's if not millions of new websites coming online daily in a website's search string, the first 5 pages will soon be considered the top ranking sites, and if your site is within the top 5 pages, be thankful and feel blessed.

She also went on to say that the search engines are getting more savvy about deciding what sites are more worthy of having first page ranking than those that are not even through intelligent SEO has gotten them there.

The internet is a revolving door that never stops. Jobs are being lost, not because the jobs are not available, but because of automation and more advanced technology entering the world constantly, that's more productive than a human in a shorter period of time.

The same applies for the internet. For a few years now we've been seeing CMS platforms taking over hand coded websites at a fast rate because of faster turn around times and less expensive. Due to the amount of business clients we have, we're having to constantly make adjustments in our business to keep up with what's taking place out in the real world. That's one of the main reasons I have a full time well educated and experienced girl in the field of marketing, public relations and communications working for me.

You've got to stay on top of the changes or you're going to be a goner.Sad to say, but that's just the way it is now.

It's not the quantity that matters, and it's not the ranking that matters simply because ranking varies and as such isn't a useful measure and hasn't been a useful measure for years now. What matters is whether you have a unique selling proposition and whether your competitors have the ability to match and/or exceed your USP.

Open-source CMSes are a long-term fad. They won't ever fully die off at this point, and they do serve a limited purpose. The problem is that for long-term growth and to establish a USP, at some point some form of custom programming is required. The problem with "Internet marketers" and "SEOs" is that both of them fail to recognize this, and won't for years if they ever do. They'll continue to spout generalities and tell people "you need to write 100 blog posts for Page 1 Ranking Guaranteed" (yes, I've heard an SEO say this recently). So what will likely happen is that the sites that continue to do original things will continue to grow and develop, the ones using the CMSes for "just a basic website to tell everyone about my company and how super awesome we are" will continue to do little if any good, and the WordPress 'developers' of the world will eventually be caught with their pants down as at some point.

We're business consultants and managers. Building and managing their website and hosting is the 1% that we offer our many clients in several countries, more or less, is something we do for them as a favor to them to keep their management under one roof per say and to keep their business.

My marketing manager has nothing to do with anything web design or SEO. She works strictly on the business consulting and management end of things. This is a very complex business, such as web design and the hosting industry, except in a different direction.

I understand and appreciate what your saying and in agreement with you. We have both coded, still code websites, and CMS websites with most corporate, and smaller businesses, sites being a CMS now because that's what the clients asked for, the same for their intranets we build and manage for them.

So, Spring seems to be getting started here, how about up there where you are? We're going to Algonquin canoeing this summer for a week and will be visiting friends in Whitby for a few days for their son's wedding.

My husband retired last summer and handed his corp over to our two oldest daughters, twins. I'm handing my business over to our two middle daughters this summer and will be retiring. Our 17 year old is working between both offices with her sisters, but she's going with us because she's going to sing in the wedding and then fly back home. Time for dad and me to get out and go play. We've earned it
