I started a website for a non-profit organization last year on a free host called Angelfire, but because they lowered their free space and our site grew past the limit, I upgraded to world web hosters.com They were a great host at the beginning. But our site lost the telnet file around Christmas, they said Frontpage did that problem, then the site died totally this past march 2003. I tried to get the site back online, but they refuesd to help. They after a year no problems with email chats started to not believing who I was even though I use my DSL providers Email address. They they stopped accepting my emails all together. Ontop of it they locked up our .com name so we can't even transfer it to another host. If I had the information that I found on the net about them back then, I would never had went with them. STAY AWAY please. Don't get burned like we did.

Our youth Organization is called Navy League of Canada, Sudbury Branch

As far as I know these folks have not hijacked my domain -- it is managed by network solutions. My problem has been lack of srvice. Like, 0 service.

I've been using them for almost 3 years and have not had any bad experiences. Except my yearly account ran out and they sent 25 e-mails trying to recharge me but my credit card expired.

I also found this site Web Hosting Reviews - World Web Hosters after going to that site i'm not going to buy their hosting ever agian and recommed others to do the same. They say that if their are enough complaints to Paypal, or to 2checkout.com that they will not support their services to world web hosters.

So if you want to take action I suggest you send complaints into Paypal, or to 2checkout and hopefully world web hosters can be shot down.

Paypal will likely not do anything. They're not true merchant account providers as such, and this is where people get confused. All Paypal offers is basically a form of escrow for merchants and end users.

This is one of the (many) reasons I refuse to deal with them as much as I possibly can.
