    I am using CS5 dreamweaver and trying to connect to host-ed.net using the manage site server window.. however it says that my pass is inccorect "failed to connect to host , FTP error occured.

    im confused because i know i am using the right password..

    the one i log onto the control panel of host-ed.net

    any assistance would be most appreciated

    Control Panel, FTP, and remote access login can all be different. Contact your host for clarification.

    I hear ya - talk to your FTP host although I hope that you managed to find a way to connect to your FTP by now.

    Usually when I could not connect to my FTP I usually try to fiddle with my "passive" mode or not (not that I really know much of it) and making sure that I got the correct password by login into my control panel online and see if I can log in (just to verify that my login information is correct). And if I still have problem, I just change the password from control panel and try to log in.
