Good what? A good host? It's not bad. There are better, though.

I wouldn't host a site there. Too many horror stories. They are good for domains but not so much for hosting. Although I am sure there are thousands of sites hosted there without any problems.

You have to figure that, with a service the size of GoDaddy's, there are bound to be horror stories.

The only real issue I had with them is that they cap SMTP sends at 1,000 per day...which, if you're running a dedicated server, is far too little. If email spam is an issue, an SMTP cap isn't going to solve it. But you can apply to have that raised.

I wouldn't use them for anything I'm doing personally, but have no problem with them if a client picks them.

I'm not a fan of their slow and clunky management back end though. I need to go in to change a clients nameservers every once in a while and hate the experience every time!

Now that I'll agree with. They're too into every web product under the sun and it's almost impossible to find the obvious stuff like say domain management. If I want other stuff, I'll order it and then you can add it to my menu. Until that point, I'm not interested so don't put 50 links down the left side of my account manager.

Exactly! All I want is domain management. I'm not hosting or using email with you so why are you showing me the 30+ links to manage services I don't even have!

Not the most straight forward check out process by any means, but I do use them for domains. I have used them for so long that, I guess I know by heart all the hoops they make you jump thru, and it only takes me a couple mins to register a name.

Gotta love the commercials thou!!!! LOL
    Peace, Mike

GoDaddy doesn't have the best feedback when it comes to Web Hosting.
