I am creating a service that is basically an online website creation software. I need my users to be able to point their domains at either everyonecanweb.com/sites/lavaeagle or lavaeagle.everyonecanweb.com.

I don't know how to go about doing this, any ideas? This site is created in PHP and SQL.

I am not sure I understand the question. Are you saying that you are the owner of everyonecanweb.com and you want to offer your users the ability to create a site with your service and but if they want to they can register a domain, and have the address bar read userdomain.com, but have that point to everyonecan web.com? Why the lavaeagle part of the name?
    Please clarify.

I don't get the question or the logic behind it.

If you want lavaeagle.com to redirect to everyonecanweb.com/sites/lavaeagle/ , do a 301 redirect. How you do this exactly depends on your choice of programming language. Here are the three lines you'll need to do it in ASP (or .NET, works for both):
    Code:
    Response.Status = "301 Moved Permanently"
    Response.AddHeader "Location", "http://www.everyonecanweb.com/sites/lavaeagle/"
    Response.End
Now, there isn't really a good reason to do this and a few reasons not to, but that would be your goal. Here are some other examples using different programming languages.

If you're asking for something else, you're going to have to reword the question.

I have created a service called Everyonecanweb.com. I have written it in PHP and SQL. (I am the owner)

When a user creates a website their pictures and files are stored in a folder named what they'd want.
For example I have created a website with the folder named "lavaeagle", it's directory however is everyonecanweb.com/sites/lavaeagle.

If the user owns the domain name lavaeagle.com and wants to make "lavaeagle.com" go to "everyonecanweb.com/sites/lavaeagle", how would I do that?

Unfortunately I am currently on a shared server.

Tumblr.com has a similar service but for them you just change the A-name record of your domain name.

That sounds like a project that would at least require a V-Ded, since to do it properly you'd need to edit DNS servers and point domains to their correct folders. You'd also need to find a host that can give you a quick and easy way to edit DNS records on their end (or at least file support tickets).

That may well be your problem...your idea is too good for the resource that you have.

That's what I thought the problem was, I just have to get the funding in order to get it running.
What can I do to make the switch to a server that could modify DNS records and point domains?
