I was wondering about how much bandwidth a full sized PHP/mysql database eCommerce runs per month - with a medium amount of traffic runs - just like an average eCommerce site.

You won't find the answer to that question for a few reasons:

    1) There's no such thing as an "average" eCommerce site, if it's built properly. That's like saying "how much does the average house cost?" or "how much would it cost to run the average store?" The good ones are all different and a lot of factors go into that calculation (size of product images, size of layout, features, size of target market, ability of owners to reach the target market, target market's receptiveness to the marketing message of the site, and a whole bunch of other things).

    2) Because there's no such thing as an "average" eCommerce site, there really isn't a "medium" traffic level either. Again, different markets and varying levels of marketing ability lead to varying traffic levels.

Now, if you're trying to figure this out because you're picking hosting, then what you'll need to do is figure out the average size of a page on your specific site (or at least a good rough estimate), multiply that size by the number of page views you realistically expect at first, triple that to allow for growth and then pick a hosting plan that offers that much bandwidth or better. But again, be realistic...don't assume that everyone will agree that you built the most awesomest website EVAR.
