    Hello everybody!
Well, so I got a reseller account on HostGator...pointed the nameservers of the domain shovehost.com to it...one problem. How do i get to the control panel of my old hosting now to download the files, etc? I've got this URL:
    http://79.170.40.237/shovehost.com/
But I have no idea how to access FTP or Control Panel now, (and I don't know my FTP password either)...
    Please I need urgent help!

You want to use the IP of the previous host, or the hostname of the server you were/are on.

Also, your previous host should be able to reset your ftp password or you can log into your cPanel and reset it though there yourself.

well, then wouldn't the IP of the host be that first part of that URL? but when I typed that into FileZilla, it didn't even try to connect. It just rejected it (if I had the wrong password, which I did, it would just give me error 530) But it didn't even get that far!

Oh and it's not cPanel. It's something else, and it automatically creates a random FTP password, that I always copied and pasted, but now, I can't access the control panel at all!

Yes the IP would be the 79.170.40.237 part, if you are also putting the 'http://' then stop it, lol.

The guy who owns the servers said he will put databases and files in. A zip folder and send it to me :-)
