Question for anyone out there...who's used CloudFlare, and does it do what it says it does? It actually sounds like it might, but it's really hard to tell.

I had just heard of it a couple weeks ago from a customer who loves it. He wanted me to integrate it into his control panel which required that I sign up and get an api number. Did that and a day later was told I needed to use the email address connected to the company. Went back and re-signed up using that, never heard back from them.

Hmmmm....well, I wouldn't need to integrate it with a control panel. I don't have one (don't want one, either). So at least I'm okay from that regard.

    Not good service, though.

One thing to note if your going to put a WordPress blog (or anything with lots of JS) on cloudflare is that it will occasionally mess with your JavaScript - reason I say this is my WordPress jQuery plugin was hitting walls with a few customers because of cloudflare... I am really tempted too though and will watch this thread - hope to hear some solid feedback from users

    Well, since I don't use WordPress for anything...ever...if I can avoid it, fortunately that's a non-issue.

Have tested it on a couple of sites and have noticed an overall increase in traffic by about 75% with no real issues. Adsense is taking a while to catch up, but it's also January so that happens.

Not really much to report on it other than that.

All good then, is that traffic increase simply because of a page speed hike do you think? That's pretty impressive

I wouldn't say it's the only reason. The one site I primarily tested on traditionally gets an increase in traffic on or around Christmas as a general rule. But it's definitely a major contributing factor, since the increase is never that dramatic.

Cool - I think I'll try it out for my major project tomorrow, it's got some pretty elaborate JS so hopefully I'll be able to shoehorn it in alright.

Let's see if it improves my hastily written prototype
