Your experience with JustHost? I have super slow sites :(

    Hello everyone,

I have around 10 websites hosted within JustHost but recently noticed that they are superslow. And yes, I have this "unlimited hosted" plan. Any price/speed compromise from other hosting companies?

First of all, there's no such thing as an unlimited resource when it comes to hosting. I hate that hosts keep promising this...even the best hosts are forced to do this. As long as CPU speed, RAM, hard drive space, bandwidth, etc. are apportioned in finite amounts, there's no way hosts can promise unlimited anything. This isn't on you, either...this is a hosting issue.

Two things that may be going on:

    1) JustHost is an EIG brand.

EIG brands are notorious for their overall levels of suckitude. I haven't used JustHost so I can't speak to them specifically, but I've used HostGator and I believe iPage and iPowerWeb. The former is just awful when it comes to anything support-related, and was never impressed with the latter two.

    2) I don't know what your other sites are (and in this case, feel free to list them below since it is relevant to the discussion and since it's not spamming...I'm giving you permission as a mod). I do know that you're running WordPress on your one site, though, and WP has issues with server response times. WP + JustHost may = enough to be a significant problem.

You should do a search for EIG brands on google. And when you get the list, stay as far away from those companies as you can. EIG has bought up some good companies and most of them get destroyed in a year or so.
