Help with getting right website platform

I'm New to finding a good web site platform for our church website. Well at least intermediate when it comes to this.
I wanted to know since I got our church website set up with BlueHost, which platform is best for me to use? WordPress? Concrete? Joomla? Weebly? I like Weebly and I don't know how Concrete works. I've used WordPress only for a blog. Can anyone give me a good ideas?

Weebly is flash if im not mistaken? Or is that wix? Regardless, if i had to recommend anything over hand coding it would be (regretfully) Wordpress. Mainly because its so widely used you will find answers to a lot of your questions. Ive heard of the others but know nothing about Concrete and very little about Joomla to offer any insight on those.

First we have to know the purpose of the site and what the church wants to be able to do on the site. Do they just want to post a schedule or something more?

Wix is actually is flash based. But I decided to do WordPress even though trying to work around customizing some of the themes can sometimes be complex especially if its CSS. I'm not familiar with it. Is it like HTML? I'm a familiar with that.

Well we want to add photo gallery, videos, calendar so members can see the events every month. I seen a WebCal plugin for WordPress so I'm thinking about trying that out.

This means your requirements are somewhat limited and you can do this with some simple HTML. Someone more familiar with Wordpress can suggest plug-ins to increase security and change from the usual blog setup to something more static to make navigation easier for your members to find what they seek.

Yeah. I'll figure it out. I figured if you go about creating pages that it would help but also for posts section there's different blog post types you can use and I've seen one of them as a photo gallery.
